Languages & Translations
Set the source language and active languages, have content translated automatically, and correct translations by hand.
Under Einstellungen › Sprachen you define which languages your organisation publishes content in. Event names, descriptions, tasks and similar content are then translated automatically -- employees see the version in their own language.
Two separate layers
The EVENTRA interface (buttons, menus, messages) is already localised and follows each user's own language. This page only concerns the content you enter yourself.
Quellsprache — source language
Die Sprache, in der du Inhalte schreibst. Alles andere wird daraus übersetzt.
Changing it moves nothing
"Eine Änderung legt neu fest, welcher gespeicherte Text das Original ist. Vorhandene Übersetzungen werden nicht verschoben." Do not switch the source language casually -- translations already produced stay exactly where they are.
Aktive Sprachen — active languages
Inhalte werden in jede aktive Sprache übersetzt.
Deactivating a language keeps its translations; they reappear as soon as you reactivate it. Two rules cannot be worked around:
- The source language is always active.
- At least one language must stay active.
Übersetzungsstand — translation coverage
Shows how many texts are already translated into every language -- "n von m Texten in alle Sprachen übersetzt" -- alongside how many are veraltet (stale) and how many are fehlen (missing).
What a „text“ is
A text is a single field -- for example the name or the description of an event, not the event as a whole.
While only one language is active there is nothing to show: "Aktiviere eine zweite Sprache, um den Übersetzungsstand zu sehen."
AI usage in this period
An estimated guide to how many texts AI translation can still process in the current billing period. It depends on the length of your content and is not a firm commitment.
When the quota runs out
"Die KI-Übersetzung ist für diesen Zeitraum pausiert." New content is then no longer translated automatically. Contact support if you need more capacity.
Translating existing content
Generates translations for content that already existed before this feature. Before starting, a confirmation quantifies the run: "Damit werden n Texte übersetzt. Das dauert geschätzt x Minuten."
Hand edits are never overwritten
Manually edited translations are never replaced by the bulk run.
Translations on the content itself
Everywhere translatable content is maintained, there is a Übersetzungen section:
- Automatisch übersetzen -- translations are created automatically after saving; you can edit them later at any time.
- A field is marked KI-generiert, Manuell bearbeitet or Quelle geändert.
- Neu generieren regenerates a translation -- either for the whole entry or for one specific field.
- While processing runs it reads "Übersetzung läuft …".
Stale translations
If you change the source text after a translation, it is flagged: "Veraltet -- der Quelltext wurde nach dieser Übersetzung geändert." The old text stays visible until you regenerate it.
Replacing manual corrections
If you regenerate fields somebody corrected by hand, EVENTRA asks explicitly: "Diese Felder wurden manuell korrigiert und werden von der KI überschrieben. Das kann nicht rückgängig gemacht werden."
