Day Tickets
Tickets that are only valid on individual days of a multi-day event — from the artist's performance day through the host's choice to per-day admission.
At a festival an artist often brings guests only for their performance day. That is what day tickets are for: a ticket type that is only valid on the days the guest is given. On other days the door turns the guest away.
Multi-day events only
Day tickets only take effect at events that run over several days. At single-day events, a ticket type marked as a day ticket behaves like a normal ticket.
How it works
- One day, one ticket. Every day is a ticket of its own: Friday and Sunday are two tickets, two admissions -- but one entry on the list.
- Every day uses a spot in the contingent of the host who assigned it. If two hosts entered the same person for different days, the list shows per day who it came through.
- Every day counts individually for billing (EUR 0.15 per day ticket).
Mark the ticket type as a day ticket
Under Settings › Guest list › Ticket types & prices you switch on Day ticket for the ticket type: "Only valid on the days the guest is given – e.g. the artist's performance day. Only applies to multi-day events." The ticket type then carries the Day ticket badge.
Set performance days on the invitation (optional)
On Guest list › Contingents you set the performance day(s) for an invitation -- when creating it, when applying a preset (per recipient) or later via Set performance days in the row menu. Day tickets of this invitation are then only valid on those days. If you change the performance days later, day tickets already sent go out again by email with the new days.
Without performance days the host picks the day per guest.
Enter guests
- Hosts choose the valid days per guest -- "Each selected day is a separate ticket and uses one spot of your contingent." If the invitation specifies performance days, those are preset.
- You choose one or more days under Days or Valid on when adding. Without a day a day ticket cannot be saved ("Please select the day the day ticket is valid on.").
If the same email address is already on the list only with day tickets, the new day is added to that entry instead of creating a duplicate. The same day twice is not possible.
On the ticket and wallet pass
Ticket email, web ticket and wallet pass name the days in brackets after the ticket type, for example "Guest wristband (Fri, 05/06)". A ticket that is valid for all days carries no days. Apple Wallet shows the pass on the lock screen on every valid day and greys it out once the last day is over.
At the door
Admission counts per day. The admission day changes at 6:00 am -- someone arriving at 2 am still counts for the previous day.
- The door dialog shows under Day tickets on which days the guest is valid and whether they were already admitted today ("Admitted today at time").
- If the ticket is not valid today, it says Not valid today or "Only valid on days". With Admit anyway you let the person in as an exception; this is then noted in the history ("admitted as an exception").
- Admit all n people skips people who are not valid today.
Guests & Admission
Add guests one by one or as a list, merge duplicates, clear blocklist matches, send tickets, export — and the door check-in per person.
