Tickets & Wallet Passes
What the guest receives: ticket email, web ticket, Apple and Google Wallet — and how you design the pass's colour, logo and artwork.
Every guest receives a ticket by email. It contains the ticket card with a QR code, the buttons Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet and the link Open ticket to the web ticket. All show the same code -- the guest decides what to bring to the door.
The ticket email
You maintain subject, heading and text under Settings › Guest list › General › Email texts (block Ticket), per language. The guest receives the email in their own language, otherwise in the guest list default language.
Below the text comes the ticket card with the same details as the wallet pass (see below). Underneath:
- the hint "Open your ticket at the door. It holds the QR code to be scanned."
- for plus-ones: "This ticket covers all n people on this booking. Come to the door together, or give the name on the ticket."
- the guest list's support email as the reply address.
If a guest is cancelled, they receive the cancellation email (block Cancellation) with the greyed-out ticket card and the note "Ticket no longer valid".
The web ticket
Open ticket shows the ticket in the browser -- without logging in, via a personal link. It is the same card as in the wallet pass, supplemented by:
- "Show this QR code at the door."
- for plus-ones: "This QR code covers all n people on this booking. …"
- with a price: "The amount is collected at the door. Please have it ready."
- "Questions? Write to support email" and Add to wallet.
After a cancellation it says: "This spot was cancelled." plus a note that the link no longer gets the guest into the event. The wallet links of a cancelled spot also lead to this page instead of an invalid pass.
The wallet pass
The pass for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet shows:

Lock screen
Apple Wallet shows the pass on the lock screen on the event days -- for day tickets only on the valid days.
The design
Colour, text colour and logo apply to every pass of the organisation; an event can deviate from this.
Organisation-wide
Under Settings › Guest list › General › Ticket design:
- Background colour -- as a colour picker or hex value (e.g.
#171717). "The ground every pass is drawn on; the labels and the dividers follow from it." - Text colour -- Automatic picks whichever of white and black reads better; Light and Dark fix it.
- Logo in the ticket header -- Standard logo, Dark mode logo or No logo. The dark mode logo suits dark ticket colours; without a logo the ticket header carries only the event name. Both logos come from your company settings.
- The preview next to it is the real pass with sample data.
- The contrast is checked: "Contrast 12.6:1, AAA" -- or as a warning "Contrast only 2.1:1. Below 4.5:1 the pass gets hard to read."
Save design applies the choice.
Per event
Under Guest list › Configuration the event has a section of its own, Ticket design: "A colour and a text colour for this event alone. Without a choice of its own, the tenant's applies." The text colour additionally knows Inherited here; Use the tenant's colour resets the event. It is saved together with the rest of the event configuration.
In the Ticket artwork section you also choose the logo in the ticket header for this event only; Use the tenant logo returns to the default.
Artwork
Also in the event configuration: the ticket artwork -- optional, it appears on the wallet ticket and in the ticket email of this event. Without its own artwork the ticket shows only the event colour. The event image is not used automatically.
- Square (1:1) recommended, at least 270 x 270 px; JPG, PNG or WebP up to 4 MB.
- After the upload EVENTRA checks the image: "Good size for the wallet ticket and the email." -- or "Not square. The ticket letterboxes it in the event colour." or a note that it is smaller than 270 x 270 px and blurry on high-resolution displays.
Day Tickets
Tickets that are only valid on individual days of a multi-day event — from the artist's performance day through the host's choice to per-day admission.
Contacts, Artists & Blocklist
The guest list's address book for hosts without an EVENTRA account — split into artists and other contacts — and the blocklist for people who must not be admitted.
